February Healthy Bites

This month is all about brushing... teeth! Not your teeth, your dog's!

Your dog needs a good tooth brushing just like the rest of us. Maybe not twice daily and a trip to the dentist every year, but once a day is ideal. Healthy teeth and gums are just as important to dog's health as it is to human health.

Here's a few tips to keep your pup healthy!

- NEVER use human tooth paste, ALWAYS use a specially formulated tooth paste for dogs. Sweeteners and chemicals in human tooth paste can be toxic.

- Be gentle, you don't want your dog to be afraid of the tooth brushing process. If your dog doesn't let your brush and area, like the inside of the teeth, don't force it.

- Reward with treats and play! Always reward your furry friend for good behavior.

Be sure to check on our calendar for upcoming events!
